Amazon Tip Privacy Policy

Amazon Tip monitors user-selected Amazon.com product listings. It has no account system, advertising or analytics, and does not upload monitor data to the developer or third-party servers.

Data handled

When a user adds a product, Amazon Tip reads and stores the product ASIN, URL, title, image URL, price, Best Sellers Rank (BSR), rating and coupon information. Later checks request those user-selected product pages and compare the same fields. The extension also stores the selected interface language and launcher position.

Purpose, storage and retention

This data is used only to show the monitor list, listing snapshots, change history and change notifications. Product snapshots and history are stored locally in the browser's IndexedDB. Language and launcher-position settings are stored in Chrome local storage. Data remains until the user removes the monitored product, clears the extension's local data, or uninstalls the extension.

Transmission and sharing

Requests are sent directly to Amazon.com over HTTPS only to retrieve monitored product pages. Monitor data is not sent to the developer, analytics providers, advertising networks or other third parties. Amazon Tip does not sell or share user data and does not permit humans to read it.

Amazon Tip's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Permissions

storage: stores language and launcher-position settings locally.
alarms: schedules approximate hourly checks while Chrome is running.
notifications: alerts the user only when listing changes are detected.
https://www.amazon.com/*: displays the extension and retrieves user-selected product pages for monitoring.

User choices

Users can view and remove monitored products in the extension. They can also clear all extension data or uninstall Amazon Tip in Chrome's extension settings.

插件仅为读取被监控商品页面而通过 HTTPS 直接请求 Amazon.com。监控数据不会发送给开发者、分析服务、广告网络或其他第三方。Amazon Tip 不出售或共享用户数据，也不会允许人员读取用户的本地数据。

Amazon Tip 对信息的使用遵守 Chrome Web Store 用户数据政策，包括 Limited Use 要求。

权限
